Peter is Senior Partner and Head of Litigation at Levy & McRae.
Under his leadership, Levy & McRae has built up a worldwide reputation in areas of expertise such as media law, licensing, aviation, international claims, public inquiries, employment law and tax and revenue investigations.
In recent years, Peter has led teams involved in some of the biggest litigation claims in British legal history, following major international disasters - Piper Alpha, Lockerbie, the RAF Chinook Crash on Mull of Kintyre and the Dunblane Primary School massacre.
Peter, who is also a part-time Sheriff (Judge) in Scotland, has found time to publish a range of material on legal matters and also holds a number of posts, including President of the Society of Media Lawyers, Chairman of the Association of Mediators and a Member of the Criminal Rules Council.
Peter studied Economics and Psychology at the University of Strathclyde and then Law at the University of Edinburgh. He also did research in Norway at the Maritime Law Institute Oslo University and studied Petroleum Law at Dundee University.
He is married with two children.

print media market. It handles pre-publication and libel
work for a range of titles, but is also expanding its scope
to include advising radio and TV broadcasters in both
Scotland and England.
