Wildlife & Rural

We have particular specialist expertise the legal issues arising from ownership and use of rural property.

We represent landowners, land agents, sporting syndicates, representative bodies and individuals. We have acted in judicial review of general licence restrictions, in the defence of vicarious liability prosecutions of landowners, and in the defence of all types of wildlife crime prosecution, from gamekeepers to farmers to equestrian businesses.

We have unrivalled expertise and experience of the firearms and shotgun certification process and have acted in many successful appeals against revocation.

As well as providing representation, we provide pro-active advice and specialist training to landowners and gamekeepers to enable them to meet their obligations and avoid vicarious liability prosecutions.

Many landowners operate substantial businesses, and we offer a wide range of general legal services to rural business clients, including property or boundary disputes, leasing and tenancy issues, commercial disputes and employment advice.
